CHIP Hospital, always on the leading edge of technology, has started implementation of Apple‘s IPAD in its daily routine. Now CHIP‘s doctors and nurses can annotate, graph, access and process medical images, enter data, check status…, from anywhere in the hospital without the need to be in front of a computer. The system adaptation has been developed by Kanteron Systems, who has added bar code scanning and medical use cameras, further enhancing the iPad‘s possibilities.

Kanteron Systems introduces a new solution for Dermatology. Based on a special microscope mounted on an iPhone, and a KDSworkstation, it allows the Dermatologist to take close-up pictures of the skin, which are automatically and wirelessly sent to the workstation, where the images are turned into DICOM (and therefore can be measured, annotated, etc), and sent to the PACS.
