The European Commission, through Startup Europe, has selected Kanteron Systems amongst the top 18 European scaleups (from Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Spain, and the UK) to represent the European Union in Silicon Valley as the “next EU unicorn”.
The Startup Europeinitiative brings together EU policy makers (commissioners, prime ministers), the best of the new EU Scaleups and corporations to meet Silicon Valley stakeholders.
In less than a month, 15 Hospital Trusts from the UK‘s National Health Service (NHS) have chosen Kanteron Systems‘ platform (TMIS) to integrate medical imaging and clinical genomics.

Shawn Larson, Senior Project Manager at HSCIC, announced the general availability of Kanteron source code for the NHS on Monday, June 6, at UKRC (the largest diagnostic imaging event in the UK). In conjunction with HSCIC’s OpenPACS and NHS England’s Code 4 Health / Open Source initiatives, Kanteron Systems has made the source code of its Translational Medical Information Server (TMIS) platform freely available to the NHS.
Kanteron Systems will participate, along with Microsoft Genomics group, in the Festival of Genomics conference to be held at Boston Convention Center (USA) June 27-29.
